The Case of Bridget Bishop
This first case in the Court of Oyer and Terminer was the beginning of the reformation of Salem Village.

-Bridget Bishop was the first person who was tried in the Court of Oyer and Terminer
- Bishop operated a drinking tavern near Salem and had a bad reputation in the village
-She had already been accused of practicing witchcraft in 1680, but was tried and aquitted
-Her trial started in June 2, 1692 and although she claimed she was innocent, the court found her guilty
-She was hanged on June 10, 1692
